Launch of Comedy Central not funny

April 7, 2009

The launch of the satellite channel Comedy Central (formerly known as Paramount Comedy) has been a long winded affair and with costs reaching into seven figures it should be good enough give anyone a laugh, but it seems that the Brits are not that humorous.

In a survey carried out by the channel to celebrate the launch it seems that the British have lost half their sense of humour since the credit crisis started.

It seems that in the UK people are only laughing around six times a day on average, when in previous years it was double that amount.

It is thought that laughter can help people out of a depression, but these days there is not much to laugh about, so it’s good news that Comedy Central has been launched.
