Bishop not happy with Easter TV schedules

by David Allen

Even people who are not religious understand that Easter is one of the most important dates in the Christian calendar, but it seems that some religious leaders are not happy with the content that the UK’s main broadcasters fed the nation with over Easter.

The Bishop of Down and Dromore, the Rt Rev Harold Miller, has been voicing his concerns at the lack of television programmes that offer the viewer little to feed their souls with.

The Bishop went on to say that after carefully looking at what was on over the Easter weekend, on both radio and TV, he believed that the cupboard was bare when it came to what the Christian faith would like to see.

Bishop Miller was particularly disappointed with the BBC and feels that on Good Friday the best that viewers could do was switch off.
