Throughout Europe mobile broadband is getting stronger and recent figures from Telecompaper, the market research firm, show that there were around 10.5 million sales of mobile broadband devices during 2008.
A lot of this can be put down to the deals that are around at the moment. In fact within the findings it can be seen that around 4.3 million sales took place in 2007.
Offers of free laptops and being able to combine a mobile broadband dongle with other services such as fixed line broadband have helped with the increase in users.
Not surprisingly over two thirds of European mobile broadband users are located in the UK, Germany and Italy, which works out at a staggering 18.3 mobile broadband users in this part of Europe alone.
This equates to around 3.6 per cent of the global market.
