June 5, 2009

Recently Research and Marketing has expanded its annual IPTV Global Forecast offerings to include the new ‘IPTV Global Forecast- 2009 to 2013: Semiannual IPTV Global Forecast Report.”

In previous years the IPTV report was only conducted on an annual basis.

The new semi-annual report contains the most recent IPTV deployments across the nation and includes a forecast for service and system revenues that can be anticipated between 2009 to 2013 as well as an outlook on IPTV subscribers.

Service revenues are expected to grow by approximately 31% between 2009 and 2013 due to an increased rate of interest in IPTV services throughout the world.

Most revenue is expected to come from Europe and North America as they have the largest ARPUs.

MRG predicts that IPTV subscribers around the world will increase to 81m in 2013 up from 26.7m in 2009, which is a growth rate of about 32%.
