Sky in trouble over M&S Promotion

Sky TV has been running a promotion offering customers £50 worth of Marks and Spencer vouchers, on and off since 2003.

However, there have been many complaints from customers when their vouchers have failed to arrive.

The ‘introduce a friend’ scheme offers Sky’s customer the chance to introduce their friends to Sky and both the new customer and the introducer will receive £50 worth of vouchers.

The vouchers are supposed to be sent out within thirty days of the first payment from the new customer.

However, according the Advertising Standard Authority (ASA), fifty five complaints have been received regarding this deal and the lack of vouchers.

Sky TV said that up to 2008 it experienced problems with scheme, but the ASA has told Sky that if it cannot run the deal according to the terms, it should be cancelled.
