Eutelsat’s Tooway to get speed increase

June 18, 2009

As the government commits to providing a universal broadband service to all homes throughout the UK, some providers are stepping up to the plate.

In order to reach those locations that are simply too far away from the nearest exchange, it seems that satellite broadband could fill that gap.

Tooway claims that it is able to reach all parts of the UK.

To this end the provider of the 2 Mbps Tooway service, Eutelsat Communications has announced that it will be increasing the speed of the service to 3.6 Mbps from next month.

Currently the Tooway 2 Mbps service will cost the customer £29.99 per month, and even with these speed increases coming in, the price is set to stay the same for now.
