UFC 99 will be shown on Setanta

by David Allen

Life goes on for the satellite broadband Setanta, and despite its problems with paying the instalments to the SPL and the FA for the rights to show live football matches, Setanta does have a range of sports programmes to air.

One such deal is with The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a US based mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation, which is determined that the UFC 99 will be on UK television no matter what happens with Setanta.

In fact, the UFC 99 event this weekend will be going ahead on Setanta.

This series has been very successful for the broadcaster with viewing figures of around a quarter of a million.

The UFC 99 event in Cologne, Germany, this weekend, will feature several UK based fighters, hence the interest from fans.
