Technisat shows off new Freesat HD box

June 23, 2009

The set top box maker, Technisat, has announced the launch of its latest piece of equipment that will provide homes with the Freesat satellite TV service in HD.

The Technisat HDFS set top box will offer the user all of the benefits of the Freesat digital satellite service combined with HD channels, with no subscription.

The equipment has been designed to offer music, photo and video via USB flash drives and memory cards, as well as coming with LAN and Wi-Fi connections.

With concerns about the environment, the HDFS has been designed specially to use only 0.25 watt power consumption when left in standby mode.

According to Freesat, this set top box offers the users a compelling way to access the services available on Freesat.

For Technisat this is an opportunity to establish itself as a premium brand within the satellite TV industry.
