Sci-Fi bags a Legend

The UK version of the Sci-Fi channel has announced that it has acquired the UK pay TV rights to the latest drama fantasy from Disney-ABC-ESPN Television.

The Legend of the Seeker is a sword and sorcery type programmes that will consist of two series of twenty-two episodes lasting one hour.

The series is the handy work of Spider Man director, Sam Raimi, and is based on the Sword of Truth Novels by Terry Goodkind.

This is yet another new series that Sci-Fi has managed to bring to the UK, before any of the main players have had a chance to get their hands on it.

However, there is a tradition in the UK that when a programme becomes successful, money talks and at the moment, it is Sky TV which has a cheque book large enough to entice any programme maker over to its side.
