New craft channel on Freeview

by David Allen

The Ideal Shopping Direct network, which is based in Peterborough, has launched a new £500,000 shopping network on the free to view digital service Freeview.

The firm already has the Ideal World channel which broadcasts on the Freeview channel 22 and also on Sky channel 671.

Recently trade has been affected by the economic downturn and turning to Freeview shows that the company must feel that digital TV is the way to go to find new customers.

Freeview is now broadcasting the Ideal channel Create and Craft service on channel 36.

This will be running from Monday to Friday and will be offering live shows every day from 8 am to 1 pm.

This new channel will be dedicated to the pursuit of everything craft, such as card making, drawing, needlework, embroidery and decoupage.
