Sky showing Michael Jackson memorial in HD

by David Allen

Sky TV has announced that it will be showing tomorrow’s memorial ceremony for Michael Jackson live and in high definition.

The death of a mega star is always going to attract millions of people, that will never change, but the technology used to view these ceremonies is changing all of the time and Sky TV is using this sad farewell to Michael Jackson to show the difference between the definitions.

Sky News will be producing ‘Michael Jackson: The Farwell’ in both high and standard definition.

The programme will be run on Sky Arts HD and on the Sky News website, while standard definition will be available on Sky News and Sky Arts 1. Coverage starts at 5.30pm.

Sky is clever at offering major events in HD, although unfortunately HD costs on Sky.
