Datawind offers no contract UbiSurfer

by David Allen

It would seem that the combined netbook and mobile broadband bundle is nothing new, as almost all mobile broadband providers offer some deal or other, but the common ground is that for the consumer this means a lengthy contract.

However, there is another way of getting mobile broadband and a netbook with no contact.

Datawind is offering the UbiSurfer net book with free mobile broadband in a different slant on a familiar deal.

The consumer will need to buy the device at a cost of £159.99 and it is available from Maplin and Ideal TV home shopping.

The deal includes thirty hours of mobile broadband access per month, provided through Vodafone.

In the second year, if the customer wants, this service can be purchased for just £29.99, although heavy users could opt for unlimited mobile broadband for an extra £5.99 per month.
