The Carphone Warehouse has has a good year according to the man behind the company Charles Dunstone, even though he was quick to admit that he did not believe that this would be so.

The company is effectively two separate entities running their own bank accounts and releasing individual results.

The much awaited demerger of the broadband and phone provider TalkTalk and the electrical and mobile retailer the Carphone Warehouse will not happen until March.

TalkTalk has added a further 47,000 new subscribers during the last quarter, while the Carphone Warehouse is reporting a three per cent increase in mobile phones.

As for the figures, the Carphone Warehouse is showing a six per cent increase in revenues at £773 million over the same period last year, while on the other hand TalkTalk’s revenues are down by two per cent to £340 million.
