YouTube to test out 3D video player

by David Allen

The user generated content site, YouTube, could be onto the next big thing, a 3D video player, according to a Google employee who mentioned on a forum that he happened to be working a project that included a stereoscopic player.

The employee known as “YouTube Pete” revealed that the work is in the early stages and that it is experiencing some bugs, but once completed this could be the next big thing for Google and internet users.

A lot Google’s projects start this way, with a single employee working on a project that is special to them, so the whole thing sounds as if it is a genuine project.

It is just a matter of waiting to see exactly what YouTube has in store for the future.
