This autumn will see the launch of a major advertising campaign from the free-to-air digital broadcaster Freeview.
The campaign has been designed to remind viewers that they will need to retune their equipment.
The retune is necessary because of the reconfiguration of the entire UK digital terrestrial TV network to cater for the increase in high definition channels.
The campaign will be run on the BBC, ITV, Channel Four and Five, and will remind viewers about the retune and even offer details of how this can be done.
According to the managing director of Freeview, Ilse Howling, the broadcaster wants viewers to get into the habit of retuning on a regular basis.
That way the viewers will be making sure that they are getting all of the benefits that Freeview has to offer.
