Its been the news all over, Apple rejected the Google Voice iPhone application. Apple did not approve the Google Voice application and in fact, went as far as pulling down several apps that mimic or duplicate the functionality of the Google Mobile app.
Well, as they say, one man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. A homebrew app called the dkGoogleVoice is now available for the Palm Pre, one of the iPhone’s major competition. It basically does most of what the official Google Voice app can - it dials, grabs voicemail, and otherwise makes Google Voice more helpful.
For now, it’s still a rough app and in fact, its developer notes that it still has a lot of bugs in it. Take note though, this is an unofficial app and already, it works really well. Now let’s just wait for the official one from Google.
