With an estimated three hundred hours of content, the online TV service from Microsoft has finally been given its Beta launch.
MSN Video is a video on demand service that offers hundreds of hours of programmes completely free of charge.
This service is funded through adverts which appear after a show is selected, so the viewer has no choice but to watch the short ads at the beginning and end of a show, and during breaks too.
These adverts are only the same length as those seen on TV at the moment.
The content is interesting and is mainly supplied through the BBC’s commercial division BBC Worldwide and ALL3MEDIA.
There aren’t any shows from current series, although it is expected that MSN Video will be securing more rights to TV shows as it goes along.
