The shopping channel JML is spreading out into Europe, after managing to get its hands on some extra capacity on the Astra satellite that was used by the Animal Planet channel.

In order to reach out to more customers, JML will be producing a German version of the shopping channel.

This will be broadcast from the Astra APS facility, although the broadcasts will be managed remotely from the JML broadcast centre in London.

The channel will be covering an estimated five million homes in Germany, as well as other areas covered by the Astra satellites footprint on 19 degrees east.

These areas will include parts of Austria, Belgium, France and Holland.

JML use the tried and tested infomercial, lasting thirty minutes, that focuses on related products.
