Microsoft issues ActiveX patch

by David Allen

Users of Microsoft Windows are being urged to immediately update their computers with the latest patches released on Tuesday.

These patches will fix the problems affecting ActiveX and this is one of those updates that are going to require a reboot of the computer.

According to Changebase, the company that is involved in application compatibility, the patches should not cause IT departments any issues with compatibility.

The patches fix a number of issues that have occurred in the Microsoft ActiveX software plug-in architecture.

Apparently, there are a number of these, which could have been attacked by a Hacker.

It seems that these ActiveX issues are very serious indeed, even for the home user, especially if they are using Microsoft Office on the machine.

Users of both XP SP3 and Vista are at risk.
