The newest from Nokia, the 5530 XpressMusic handset, is set to debut at the Carphone Warehouse mobile provider, although those anxious to get the model can head online for a pre-order.
For the first six weeks following its release Carphone Warehouse will have the exclusive rights to the mobile.
The phone features a 107g touch screen and is a cut-down model of the previous Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
It also runs on the S60 5th edition platform, which is a nice upgrade as well.
Those who want a cheap mobile will like the fact that the XpressMusic is the lowest priced Nokia touch screen to hit the market, weighing in for those who want a pay per use contract at only £130.
Those who prefer a monthly contract can get it for free with a 24 month and £15 per month service contract.
For those who have the original model of the XpressMusic it may be time to update, as both models are available for the same price.
For the slightly higher price of £159.95 the Pay As You Go original model is also available on Virgin Mobile or T-Mobile.
Specifications for the new 5530 XpressMusic include a 2.9 inch screen with a smaller 4GB memory card and it doesn’t have 3G or GPS connectivity.
It does however have Edge and WIFI connectivity, a 3.2 megapixel flash camera, MP3 player, and a 3.5mm audio socket.
