ESPN to use Bernard Hill for voice ads

by David Allen

Bernard Hill has appeared in many programmes and films over the years, but he is still remembered for the part that he played in the 1980’s series “Boys from the Blackstuff”.

Now the actor’s voice is going to be used to promote the launch of new sports satellite broadcaster ESPN UK, which will offer Premier League football coverage.

The advert is a minute long and has been created by the Wieden and Kennedy Amsterdam ad agency.

The main thrust will be on the tagline “It’s great to be here”.

It’s a big occasion for the Disney owned broadcaster and it is making the most of it.
