Onyx launches trio of dual-sim devices
UK-based phone maker, Onyx, has announced a trio of new dual-sim handsets.

The Flip, the Slider and the Nero are “affordable, aspirational and alternative” devices, Onyx said.

Flip is a clamshell handset aimed at style-conscious users looking to take advantage of multiple tariffs and frequent travellers who prefer to not be constantly switching their SIM card.

Slider adds extra functions, including a music player, email, and a 2-megapixel camera.

Nero features touch screen controls, and also includes email functionality and a 2-megapixel camera.

Onyx said dual sim handsets are designed to save users money, so they can be signed up for two different networks or tariffs on a single handset.

“These new handsets offer consumers a different choice, one that many people have been crying out for,” said Zafar Mirza, Onyx chairman.

Onyx assured consumers that the handsets will be priced “competitively”, although specific prices were not announced.
