Sometimes in business and just in general, some strange things happen, and nothing seems stranger than what has happened over at BT Yahoo.
It seems that the integrated search on the BT Yahoo home page has been switched from Yahoo to Google.
Is this yet another victory deal for the search giant or could there be something more to this move?
According to BT, the deal with Yahoo runs until 2011, but by removing Yahoo search from the BT Yahoo homepage, the search engine is looking at losing around seven hundred and twenty million impressions per month for the UK and Ireland, which is going to make quite a dent.
BT will now be using the content from Yahoo and the search will be provided by Google, which is currently the most used search engine in the UK.
