Freeview is gambling on a new advertising campaign to promote its services in the run up the festive season.
The campaign is spearheaded with a sixty second advert starring former model and reality TV star Katie Price and her horse.
In fact, the advert is more like a spot the star competition with Ray Mears, Alan Whicker, Postman Pat, Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden, Duncan Bannatyne, Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer also appearing.
The £4 million advert is based on the hit police series, The Professionals, with the celebs arriving at a Freeview viewer’s home and the theme to the Professionals being played as they arrive.
According to Tim Hunt, the Freeview director of marketing communications, the advert demonstrates the sort of programming that viewers can expect to receive with Freeview.
The advert finishes off with the words, “Get the best TV delivered to your door, without any bills.”
