There is no denying that Sky 1 is looking around for new viewers and one spot it has not appeared to master so far is the daytime TV spot.

This is about to change with new programming for the daytime on Sky 1.

Leading the charge will be the former Coronation St and Waterloo Road actress Angela Griffin, who is to become the face of daytime TV, fronting a new chat show.

Angela and Friends starts in November and will run for eighteen weeks, which works out at ninety episodes of ninety minutes each.

Each live show will have a different co-host from a revolving roster.

According to the Sky 1 controller, Stuart Murphy, this show is a move towards focusing on one or two daytime TV slots.

Daytime TV on Sky 1 will no doubt be getting a marketing boost near the launch date.
