Mitsubishi includes VUDU
Mitsubishi announced on Thursday that its two newest television sets will come equipped with the VUDU service, which led to a jump in the amount of HDTV sets that now have internet movie services.

The new Mitsubishi models that will have the VUDU service pre-installed are the LT-52249 and the Unisen Diamond LT-46249.

Both of the televisions have an Ethernet port that allows high speed internet access, a 16 speaker sound system, 1080p flat panels, and come with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound.

Users who have already purchased the new HDTV sets will get to experience the joy as well through an automatic software update that will run on the televisions when they are turned on.

Simply look for the VUDU icon and you are ready to go!

As part of the deal and to entice users to subscribe to Vudu, Mitsubishi will throw in the first two months of the service free with an HDTV purchase of one of these models.

VUDU is able to offer viewers well over 2,000 HD movies and also includes a complete library that tops 16,000 titles and access to popular video streaming websites such as Pandora, Flick, and Youtube.

It also hosts over 80 on demand television channels.

LG was the first company to host the VUDU service within its HDTV models.

Other HDTV manufacturers, such as Sony and Samsung, have signed other video on demand services as well, with Samsung signing a deal with Blockbuster and Sony adding the Netflix service for viewers.
