ESPN gets the NRL final

The satellite sports new boy, ESPN, is carving its way through the available sports events similar to the way that Sky Sports did when it first started up.

However, ESPN did say when it took over the spot vacated by the failed satellite sports broadcaster Setanta, that it wants to be a player.

To this end ESPN has been picking up events here and there.

The latest event to fall under the ESPN banner will be the Australian National Rugby League Grand Final.

This will be live on the new sports channel in UK and Ireland.

This top sporting event will be shown on the 4th October starting at around 7am, although there will other programming to build up the event, with the preliminary finals being shown on the 25th September and the 26th September.
