Virgin Media signs deal with Disney

September 18, 2009

The cable TV and broadband provider, Virgin Media, has just agreed a deal with Disney that will see both standard and high definition Disney content made available to subscribers of cable, mobile and online services.

The newly named Disney XD channel will join the Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney on the multi platform service.

This will include being made available on the Virgin Media on demand service.

According to Virgin Media, it is a pioneer of TV services and these latest additions will be made available through the three screen deal.

This is one of those deals that is going to ripple through the entire Virgin Media network.

Disney content could be turning up on phones and in particular on the provider’s websites, where on-demand content can be offered.

virgin do not have a service that only costs £19.50 you need to add £11 for line rental. they should be forced to show the full cost of their service when they include broad band, tv and phone.
