Cross-game chat is coming to the PS3 in October.
According to a source cited by VG247, Sony has let developers know that cross-game chat should be implemented within the next month.
Cross-game chat doesn’t involve prolonged bouts of swearing because you’re losing – there’s plenty enough of that already. It simply means that you’ll be able to chat with friends who are playing different games to you.
Although that might sound like it could get rather confusing, apparently it’s one of the most requested features from PS3 owners.
The source also claimed that the new feature will be implemented in firmware update 3.10.
