Pubs could get Sky 3D TV first

September 29, 2009

UK pubs could be the first place to get BSkyB’s 3D TV service next year.

According to the industry newspaper The Publican, Sky has already given the go ahead for loyal Sky-using pubs to get the new Sky 3D TV system before it is released anywhere else in the UK.

This will mean that these selected pubs will be able to show sports events and even films in glorious 3D sometime during 2010.

This would make the deal a very attractive proposition for the pub industry.

However, for BSkyB it would be a brilliant way of getting the Sky 3D channel in front of potential new customers, many of which will be very interested in subscribing to the new service as soon as it becomes available.
