Music streaming service Spotify is to make an offline mode available for its PC and Mac based customers.

This offline listening mode is already available to those with Spotify on their mobiles, and it will work the same on the PC.

So if your Internet goes down, or you’re on the move with your laptop, you’ll still be able to listen to your playlists.

Unsurprisingly, it won’t be available to the freebie Spotify users, just the paying folks who fork out £10 a month for a premium subscription.

Some 4.5 million songs are available on Spotify.
