Five app streams live football to iPhone

Fans of football who also happen to be iPhone owners, can now make use of the new Five iPhone app that lets the user stream live football matches over a 3G or Wi-Fi connection.

Obviously, this is only going to interest supporters of football clubs that are currently playing in the UEFA Europa cup league, which is the only live football that Five is showing at the moment, and all live matches will be streamed.

It is good idea though, and should lead to further apps being launched that provide iPhone user with some real sports content.

It may not offer top class leagues just yet, but it is a step in the right direction.

The Five iPhone app is currently available in the App Store for just £3.99.
