Seesaw has been officially confirmed as the name of Arqiva’s new online VoD service.
Seesaw is built on the former Project Kangaroo platform, a planned joint venture between the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and BT, which was blocked by the Competition Commission.
Now it seems that Arqiva has not only acquired the technology, but the name too, as Seesaw was the suggested name Project Kangaroo, had it come to fruition.
Arqiva acquired the assets of Project Kangaroo in July and expects to launch SeeSaw in the next few months.
It’s a busy time for Arqiva which recently provided DVB-T2 test transmissions at this years IBC event, to allow HDTV to be demonstrated.
