Microsoft releases mega patch for Windows

by David Allen

Today is “Patch Tuesday” and apparently there are thirty four vulnerabilities lurking around in the software that millions of people are using at the moment.

This release consists of thirteen patches to fix this problem, making it one of the largest issues for a while, and an important one as well because eight of these vulnerabilities are considered to be critical.

The programmes affected are the Windows Internet Explorer browser, Microsoft Office, Silverlight, along with the Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.

A critical vulnerability is one that could allow a hacker to get in and take control of a user’s computer from a different location.

Anyone using the Windows products are recommended to install the updates as soon as they can to prevent these issues affecting their equipment.
