Apple iPhone and iPod touch in FM radio rumour

If the rumours are to be believed, an FM radio app is coming to the Apple iPhone and iPod touch.

The story was broken by blog 9to5Mac, who reckon that Apple is developing the app in-house, and that it will offer the same functionality as the FM radio in the new iPod Nano.

The app has apparently been delayed because Apple wants to integrate iTunes with it, so you’ll be able to follow a direct link to the iTunes store for any song you’re listening to on the radio. And then purchase it, or so Apple hopes.

9to5Mac also speculate that the app will have a live pause feature. Of course, all this is just guesswork at the moment, although it has a definite ring of truth about it.

they should have done this a long time ago. They had had this technology for a very long time now.

    Everybody wins with this feature.
