What better way is there to promote speed than having the current leader of the Formula One World Championship, Jenson Button, racing around a shopping mall in his car.

That is what will happen over at the Bluewater Shopping centre in Kent on the 20th October.

This will be the last day of the SpeedWeek50 event, which will feature Virgin Media’s superfast broadband as well as many other gadgets and technology related products.

It started on the 14th October and by the 20th October Jenson Button could be the F1 World Champion with one race left to go.

The F1 star will be taking questions from fans and Virgin Media will be showing off its 50 Mbps fibre broadband service with the help of Hewlett Packard’s Touchsmart computers.
