Spotify introduces one-click song downloads

Spotify now offers listeners of its streaming music service the ability to buy tracks with just a single click.

While Spotify has always boasted the facility to purchase music via the 7digital store, it used to be a rather convoluted process.

Now it’s a simple matter of clicking the buy button next to the track. No web browser is required, and neither is your listening experience interrupted.

Tracks come as a 320Kbps MP3, and users will benefit from multiple downloads to allow a song to be put on more than one computer.

Recently, questions have been asked about how Spotify’s business model will sustain itself long term. This could well be a part of the answer, given that the new easy access should encourage more download sales and commission for Spotify.
