by David Allen

With the festive season only a matter of weeks away, it has fallen to BSkyB to launch the first dedicated Christmas Channel.

As from the 1st December, subscribers of Sky TV will notice that Sky Movies will be changing Sky Screen 2 to the Christmas Channel and HD content will be made available on the Sky Movies Christmas Channel HD.

However, there is no need to worry, as subscribers will not have to suffer Santa Clause the Movie all year long.

These festive channels will only last for the month of December, and the channels will revert back to normal in the New Year.

The channels will carry “Boxed Sets” of Back to the Future, Indiana Jones and the Home Alone series of films.

Subscribers will be able to vote on which films they would like to see on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
