There are plenty of Top 50 lists around, which cover all sorts of subjects and people.

However, when the Top 50 List of the most powerful people in British sport is produced there are plenty of names that spring to mind for the top spot.

Nevertheless, the person named as being the most powerful person in British sport is the chief executive of BSkyB, Jeremy Darroch!

Others on the list that many people would think suitable for the top spot, include chairman of the London 2012 Olympics organising committee Lord Coe and the owner of Chelsea FC, Roman Abramovich, but the man from Sky TV beat them all to first place.

According to Sport Magazine, Jeremy Darroch has more power over UK sport than any other person.
