The UK-based set top box maker, Pace, may be the third largest equipment manufacturer in the world, but the company is always looking ahead for the next development in satellite and digital TV equipment.
According to the chief executive, Neil Gaydon, the company sees the market changing, with consumers wishing to access TV in different ways and at a time to suit themselves.
Pace is currently working on the MultiDweller mini head end system, which enables a service to be fed into a block of apartments, providing multi channel TV to the entire block.
This should address the needs of the consumer and, of course, a new product means new business for the company.
Pace is expecting to ship around sixteen million of these new units during the year to the main pay TV operators.
Canal Plus is already on board with this system.
