Apple has announced the launch of fresh versions of its iMac desktop and MacBook laptop, alongside a new “magic mouse”.
The new iMac comes in two variants – 21.5 and 27 inch displays boasting an LED-backlit panel. They will feature Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i5 and i7 quad core processors.
The computer will also come with the new magic mouse, a multi-touch mouse which allows for gesture controls much like an iPhone. And the cost for this lot? The most basic spec starts at £949.
The revamped MacBook will also have the LED-backlit display, a new unibody design, Core 2 Duo processor and a purported battery life of up to 7 hours. Pricing for the range is expected to begin at £799.
These announcements come not-very-coincidentally as Microsoft prepares to launch Windows 7 tomorrow.
