Apple might be about to launch new MacBook Pro laptops, according to files in the most recent build of OS X.

The files, discovered by a user on the Applesana message board, point to the existence of a MacBook Pro 6.1 and 6.2. The most current incarnation is version 5.5.

Speculation is that this upgraded version will feature quad-core i5 and i7 processors, alongside ATI Radeon series 4500 graphics.

This is all still very much rumour at this point, but we’ll update you as soon as we hear more on the subject.
