Free Nat Geo for Virgin Media customers in November

The cable TV broadcaster Virgin Media is making the National Geographic Wild channel free for all viewers for the rest of November.

The UK’s largest cable TV providers will let all Virgin Media subscribers view the Nat Geo Wild channel, which would normally only be available to subscribers to the Virgin Media XL package.

However, those on the M and L package will now be able to sample what they are missing until the 2nd December.

This practice has been used by BSkyB to good effect to encourage subscribers to sign up for more content such as sports and movie channels.

In fact, Sky recently has a free sky movies weekend.

Naturally, the Nat Geo Wild channel will be showing what to expect in December and the New Year in order to gain some extra subscribers.
