Improved broadband will not cost too much

November 4, 2009

Contrary to what some broadband industry experts think, the cost of providing a nationwide broadband service does not have to mean huge price increases.

In fact, according to the head of rural business development at the CLA, Charles Trotman, the cost of broadband in general need not rise at all in order for a minimum 2 Mbps broadband service to be rolled out around the UK.

The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) is primarily concerned with rural matters and broadband is a very important subject, especially when it comes to areas where broadband is not available at all.

However, the CLA believe that this is an issue that can easily be overcome with the use of Wi-Fi, mobile broadband and even satellite broadband services.
