Dell Adamo XPS, world’s thinnest laptop

Dell has launched the Adamo XPS over in the States, a laptop which the company is billing as the world’s thinnest.

At a whisker under 10mm thin, the slick looking laptop is pretty light too, weighing in at 1.4Kg.

The machine’s specs consist of a 13.4 inch display, an ultra-low voltage 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of memory and a 128GB solid state hard drive. There’s no room for an optical drive, of course.

When opened up, the Adamo XPS sits on a stand at the rear, meaning that the keyboard is at an angle, slanted towards the user. This should help cooling, letting air circulate underneath the unit – although it might not be as comfortable on your knee.

The price over in the US has been set at $1800, but there’s no word of when it will be out in the UK, or what the damage will be here.
