It’s that time of year again, when virtually every advert on the TV has something to with the festive season, and on satellite TV there are plenty of advertising slots available.

One firm that is pushing the boat out is Shop Direct.

It is starting a massive £18 million marketing campaign, which will take in most of the UK’s satellite channels.

This means that at any given time UK consumers will have advertising for Littlewoods and the new Very.co.uk service thrust upon them.

The campaign for these stores will attempt to capture consumers minds and, in the case of Littlewoods, encourage them to buy all of their Christmas items by instalments, which considering the current financial situation is something that a lot of households may be considering.
