The HD2 smartphone will be offered by Vodafone in the UK, with tariff details having just been announced.

Previously the phone had cost a hefty £500 sim-free, but now you’ll be able to get the handset for free from Vodafone if you sign up to a two year contract at £35 a month. That includes unlimited Internet, texts and 900 minutes.

The Windows Mobile powered HD2 sports a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a large 4.3 inch touchscreen display (with a resolution of 800 x 480), and a 5 megapixel camera.
