Dell has announced plans to launch the Dell 3 Mini Smartphone on the China Mobile network later this month.
The device will run on Open Mobile, an Android operating system developed by China Mobile, which is the largest telecommunications company in the world with more than 500 million customers.
The handset will then be released on Brazil’s Claro wireless network by the end of the year.
Details of the 3 Mini’s spec are few and far between, other than it features a high definition touch screen, and it isn’t yet know when it will hit the UK market.
The move builds on Dell’s existing relationship with China Mobile, as it has already embedded China Mobile’s 3G technology and services into its netbooks.
