With high definition television being rolled out on the Freeview digital TV service, starting next month, the makers of set top boxes are busy bringing out the latest equipment capable of delivering high quality HD services.

According to the government, around half the country should be able to receive the Freeview HD television service by the time the World Cup starts in South Africa next year.

This is great news for the set top box makers and Humax has just launched its latest piece of equipment.

The Humax FOX HD T2 will be launched early next year and could be one of the first Freeview set top boxes to offer viewer HD content.

So far Humax appears to be keeping the prices and availability to itself, but with time running out it will have to make an announcement sooner rather than later.
