Now ITV can move forward with pay TV plan

With the arrival of former MP Archie Norman as the new chairman of ITV, the way should now be open for some sweeping changes within the broadcaster and some feel this could not have come at a better time.

One of the main issues to be considered will be the return of pay TV for some parts of ITV.

This will be the first time that ITV has ventured into the market since the collapse of ITV Digital.

Although ITV is keeping its head above water using the existing model, the pay TV route is a possible way of bringing in more revenues, but the content will have to be something that viewers are willing to pay for.

Another route for ITV will be an improved internet presence.

Advertising revenues are increasing online and this is something that ITV could also be looking into.
